Information Systems, Associates
Information Systems (IS) is concerned with the application of computer technology to solve business problems.
An information systems person has sound knowledge of management and business functions (e.g., marketing, finance, production) in addition to knowledge of software applications and telecommunications so that he/she can solve business problems using the technology. An information systems person is someone who speaks the languages of both business and computers, acting as the go-between for programmers and the rest of the community.
